Now we're back...

Thank you for the lovely comments that some of you have left on the other posts. If anyone else would like to write anything about Glasbury - please use this page.

Also, before my camera died I managed to take 55 photos which i am just adding to the website - so please follow the old link and have a look. If anyone else took photos on a digital camera while we were away, please bring them into school so that we can put them all online. Thanks.

Glasbury Sep 2009 - Day 4

Yet again - a good nights sleep had by all. In fact the boys were asleep BEFORE 11pm! Bliss... More later...

FYI, more photos added...

Updated 8.30pm:
Today Mrs Cohen's and Miss Gantz'group went on adventure, Dr Cohen's and Mr Neat's group went caving and Miss Port's group went canoeing.

There are more photos added - so far they have all been from Mrs Cohen's camera as I'm having a few downloading issues with mine - if i can't get them on tonight I will do them as soon as I get home tomorrow!

Last year I managed to update the blog on the coach journey home with our progress - i will try to do this again tomorrow.

Glasbury: Sep 2009 - Day 3

Another good nights sleep - strangely the children were asleep a little earlier than the previous night... All the children have eaten a good breakfast and are now finding out what activites they will be doing today.

UPDATE: Mrs Cohen's and Miss Gants' group went caving, Dr Cohen's and Mr Neat's groups went canoeing and Mrs Port's group went on 'adventure.' In the evening Ashuach went on the low ropes course, while the Charuv had some free time - then tomorrow night it's Charuv's turn on the low ropes.

Glasbury: Sep 2009 - Day 2 - Part 2

The children really seem to have enjoyed their first full day of activities and have all survived relatively unscathed. Today Mrs Cohen's and Miss Gantz' groups had a day of canoeing on the river, Mrs C's and Mr Neat's group were on adventure (including zip wire and river scrambling to mention just two activities) and Miss Port's were caving.

Right now the children are out enjoying a twilight orienteering session following a dinner of sausage and mash.

Now to try some photos... (please be patient!)

Glasbury: September 2009: Day 2 - Part 1

The children have had a very good nights sleep. They were all asleep by 11.30pm and most slept through till gone 7am this morning. They have just enjoyed a big breakfast and are now performing their morning duties, ready for inspection at 9am.

Glasbury: September 2009: Day 1

We arrived safely at Glasbury House about 4pm. Curently the children are on a guided tour of their new home for the week - and loving it! The most important event of the evening, dinner, should be in about an hour and then the children get to unpack and participate in an organised activity (designed to wear them out, apparently)before bed.

Currently there is only one PC working here, but hopefully another will be online soon. If your child doesn't manage to get a message to you - please DON'T be too disappointed!
